We Take Security Seriously
The safety and security of residents and visitors to Gramacho is the primary goal of every manager and owners' representative.
Security expenditure represents the single largest item on the Gramacho Owners' Annual Budget and accounts for close on 50% of total expenditure. Gramacho is by any measure a safe place to live and visit.
Security can be contacted at 927-330-588 (24 hours) or mobile number between the hours of 8pm and 6am at 927-330-685.
Site Security Access Control
The main Gramacho residential property complex is accessed via a single controlled entry point - the main gate.
Daytime* hours the security barrier remains open for Owners, Golfers, Taxis, Service Companies. Onsite Cold Calls / Business Solicitation is discouraged. Should a cold caller disturb or concern you, please contact Security.
Nighttime* hours the security barrier is lowered. Owners/visitors must report Villa/apartment number in order to gain access

Daytime and Nighttime Patrols - Security regularly patrols all residential areas including Gramacho properties that lie beyond the central site complex.
Site Cameras
There are security cameras located throughout Gramacho including at the entrance/exit gate. Additional security cameras were installed in 2021, funded from the Owners Sinking Fund.
Home Security Alarm System
Every home is fitted with stand alone alarm systems. It is the Owner's responsiblity and cost to ensure their alarm systems remains up-to-date and properly functions.
1) There is an intruder alarm system (either motion or contact-based, implemented by DELTA FORCE with liaison to Pestana Security)
2) a fire/smoke alarm system monitored by Pestana owners’ desk, (out of hours by the Security central, at the main gate,)
3) and in some properties a “Panic” alarm cord system, in bathrooms. The latter is also monitored as the fire/smoke alarm system above.
Process when property alarm sounds:
Alarm activation will trigger a fast response and visit from the security staff, even if the property is empty. Security will gain access using a spare key. Having determined the cause of the alarm activation, Security will write a short report and leave a copy for the returning owner, and ensure the property is safe, before leaving.
•The intruder alarms are communicated via phone line (old alarm systems) or GPRS (new AJAX alarm systems) to Delta Force Central in Lisbon.
•Delta Force communicates immediately to Pestana Security on site; there is no delay applied on this communication.
•In cases when an alarm is disactivated within time limits (e.g. by Owner or Cleaning Staff with authorized code), Delta Force advises Pestana Security, avoiding unnecessary visit to the property.
Process when person calls security:
• All calls to Security gate houses, (Gramacho ext: 62000 and Pinta ext: 67200), in case of absence of the Security member, are diverted to the Security member’s mobile phone.
•In case of no answer (due to bad coverage or phone malfunction), such calls are diverted to Pestana Security Central in Lisbon.
•If no answer is obtained either in Gramacho or Pinta, Pestana Security Central will contact Pestana Security Supervisor on site.
•All calls to Emergency number ext: 66666, ring in the Golf Receptions (Gramacho and Pinta) during regular office hours (9am to 6pm). After-hour call are diverted to Gramacho Residences who pass information to respective Security gates.
